Storyline
"The evil overlords have retired, the Great Old Ones have moved to greener pastures, the crusading churches have switched to tax evasion. Your character is the perfect epitome of such an age. Playing as Kay of House Loren, you unexpectedly find yourself the inheritor of a proud and ancient kingdom. But your ancestors have left behind a convoluted mess, and - let's be honest - you are no hero. Oh, and there's also the issue of a massive debt..."

Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs Reviews & Ratings
Unfortunately I cannot, in good conscious, recommend this game. The main protagonist has no agency, everything that happens in the gameUnfortunately I cannot, in good conscious, recommend this game. The main protagonist has no agency, everything that happens in the game happens to him and not because of him, 95% of decisions are made up by side characters or villains or whoever is there. The lsit of characters is somewhat diverse but offers no real personality when they are so far on the extreme of what they are supposed to be that they become gimmicks. The combat is fine, I was looking for a simple yet fun Tactical RPG and this is somewhat of what I was looking for, the beginning will be hard and seems unfair but after awhile tou get the jist and is ok, problem is that even with not a lot of characters at the grid, fights take loooong to finish, still good variety of objetives. All of this could be forgot if the story and how it is handled were good, and they are not... The story is simple and have the necessary requirements to make you invested the problem is how the objectives of the game tie the story. The first chapter will give you a list of objectives in different areas like, clearing dungeons, raising level of the party, fishing, crafting, etc, and there is big list with a whole bunch of them and no real order. This is supposed to be like you making money to pay loans, after 5 objectives under the time limit, and you are fine.... problem is, ALL THE CHAPTERS HAVE THE SAME SYSTEM OF 5 OBJETIVES(later7) UNDER A TIME LIMIT, IT FEELS LIKE YOU ARE STUCK IN CHAPTER 1 FOREVER DOING THE SAME THINGS 6 TIMES ON THE SAME AMOUNT OF INTERVAL BETWEEN THEM.That is what makes not recommend, if you can ignore this, try it.
Great game. High quality, beautiful hand drawn graphics, well balanced difficulty level and funny story. Really looking forward for Regalia 2Great game. High quality, beautiful hand drawn graphics, well balanced difficulty level and funny story. Really looking forward for Regalia 2 (if it gets announced).
I had a blast playing Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs despite some of its shortcomings. With amusing characters, a relatable story, solid combat, fantastic music and voice acting, and meaningful choices, it's definitely worth checking out. I look forward to seeing Pixelated Milk's next project!
A pretty rpg that has a good amount of content ,its well written and is funBut the story is bad to the point that i just didn't care aboutA pretty rpg that has a good amount of content ,its well written and is funBut the story is bad to the point that i just didn't care about it anymore and in long play sessions the game is just very boringBut overall great for its price that i recommend for rpg fans that want an rpg to keep up for weeks
Regalia: of Men and Monarchs will give the player the fantasy tactics and base-building experience that its backers demanded, paired with writing that but for a few typos is satisfactory at the very least.
