Farlands, the sci-fi farming sim from publisher JanduSoft and developer Eric Rodríguez (L&V Media Group), is now available on Nintendo Switch following its July 16, 2026 simultaneous launch across all major platforms. A launch trailer has been released to mark the occasion.
From Early Access to Full Launch
Barcelona-based indie publisher JanduSoft and developer Eric Rodríguez began the journey with Farlands entering Steam Early Access in July 2024. The full 1.0 release comes after almost three years of development. The game is now available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Xbox One.
Farming, but Make It Space
Farlands is a farming simulator featuring pixel art and set in the depths of outer space - players purchase a bargain-priced planet and travel to the barren rock aboard a trusty old spaceship to begin a new life away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities.
The core loop will feel familiar to farming sim fans, but the sci-fi coat of paint adds genuine mechanical wrinkles. Your battered spaceship allows you to travel between planets throughout the solar system, gathering resources that cannot be found on your own land - and fuel needs to be managed carefully, while time continues to pass even as you are travelling, making every journey a decision rather than a simple fast-travel mechanic.
Animals also play a key role in Farlands - players can build barns, raise creatures with care, and harvest the finest products in the entire galaxy. There are three seasons, each with 28 days, and crops must be planted in their correct season.

Community and Narrative
Beyond farming and exploration, Farlands is also about being part of a community - players can interact with the remaining inhabitants of the solar system, help them prevent the entire system from collapsing, forge relationships along the way, and even find love.
