Persona 5 Royal - The Headline Return

Persona 5 Royal is the biggest name in the batch by a wide margin. The game had previously been part of Game Pass before being removed on October 31, 2023, according to Windows Central. Its return lands just days before the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, a timing that some outlets have flagged as potentially significant given the anticipated reveal of Persona 4: Revival. Whether or not that connection proves meaningful, the RPG itself needs little introduction - it blends dungeon crawling, Persona fusion, and social-link mechanics across a runtime that comfortably exceeds 100 hours for most players.

Floating island sky archipelago with airships and lush vegetation under a warm golden sky, evoking Solarpunk's survival setting
Solarpunk arrives as a day-one Game Pass title on June 8, bringing co-op survival across floating sky islands.

Day-One Highlights: Solarpunk, Undisputed, Starseeker

Five of the nine arrivals hit Game Pass on their global launch day, which is the strongest deal-value argument for subscribers.

Solarpunk (June 8) is a survival builder set across floating islands, with farming, crafting, construction, and airship travel. It supports both solo and co-op play, with players free to expand their sky-bound base at their own pace.

Undisputed (June 8) is a boxing simulation with a large roster of licensed fighters and a focus on realistic fight mechanics - one of the most detailed boxing titles currently available, arriving on Cloud, Series X|S, Handheld, and PC.

Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions (June 11, Game Preview) is a co-op space adventure set in the Astroneer universe. Players work as a crew aboard the ESS Starseeker, completing missions across multiple star systems. It enters Game Preview on launch day - meaning it will continue to receive updates through early access.

Beastro (June 11) blends cozy life-sim cooking with deckbuilding: players prepare magical meals for a party of heroes who then head into monster-filled battles. Junkster (June 16) closes out the wave as a 3D action platformer following a small construction robot crash-landed on a junkyard planet.

The earlier June 4 additions - Herdling, an atmospheric alpine creature-herding adventure, and Total Chaos, a first-person survival horror game from the creator of Turbo Overkill - are already available as of today.

Five Games Leave on June 15

Subscribers have until June 15 to finish five titles before they exit the service. Microsoft is offering purchase discounts on all departing games in the meantime.

  • Jurassic World Evolution 2
  • Lost in Random: The Eternal Die
  • Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
  • Warhammer 40K: Space Marine - Master Crafted Edition
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge
