Once you realize that the goal of each progressively more difficult area has to be carried ALL the way back to the core story area, then you have to fly ALL the way back through everything again to get to the next area, it becomes tedious and just not as fun anymore. Could not stay interested enough to finish the game, perhaps there is a fast travel system introduced later, but not in time to keep me playing.
Good looks and smooth movement mechanics can’t cover for a shallow game. On almost every level, Secrets of Raetikon is a disappointment.
Secrets of Rætikon is a highly atmospheric but not so addicting action game portraying animal life that is filled with puzzles and surprises. You will get this game, or reject it. Its form is above its content.

This is a bit of a weird hybrid of a free-roam, flying puzzler. The music and atmosphere is alright, the puzzles are pretty nifty and the flying mechanics are pretty fun. There's some room for creativity since there are a lot of AIs that go after you and other AIs, it's possible to kill a creature that's after you by using a stronger creature. All in all, I've played an hour and I'd say the game is worth the 10$ price tag, nothing too mind-blowing, but a new perspective you might like.
