After three years of tantalising glimpses, Clockwork Revolution finally has a release year. inXile Entertainment's first-person action RPG received a launch window during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 - the game will arrive in 2027 as an Xbox console exclusive, joining Gears of War: E-Day in that distinction. No specific month or season has been confirmed, so the window covers all of 2027.
Clockwork Revolution will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, cloud, and included with Game Pass at launch. Players step into the shoes of Morgan Vanette, a fully customisable character and member of the Rotten Row Hooligans gang, who must travel between past and present to battle the ruthless Lady Ironwood - an antagonist who has been manipulating time to keep the working class struggling while amassing wealth and power.
The Rotten Row Hooligans are not traditional companion characters who follow the player around - they have their own lives and stories. When Morgan reaches into the past and pulls threads, their fates change in ways that are not always predictable, meaning the crew players return to may not be the same one they left.
The core mechanic revolves around the Chronometer, a time-travel device that lets the player visit past versions of Avalon, alter historical events, and return to the present to observe the resulting changes - alterations that can have both minor and major effects on characters, districts, and social conditions.

Clockwork Revolution is inXile's first AAA game under Xbox Game Studios and their largest project in terms of scope and budget.
